9 Sure Ways to Achieve the Best Version of Yourself

Posted On July 12, 2017

“We cannot become what we need to be, remaining what we are.” – Max Depree

Every single person out there wants to be the hero of their own lives. They want to unleash their best version they can be. But unfortunately, it ends up being nothing more than the wishful things.

There is no doubt that we are our own enemies when it’s come to achieving our own goals and dreams. Sometimes we are too lazy to move out of our comfort zones and sometimes we don’t know how to do it.

Today I will tell you the ingredients needed to become your best self’s but before that, I want to ask you one question.

Are you willing? Are you willing to do anything to become the one you always wanted to be?

And If the answer is yes go ahead and read my guide below. Even if the answer is no I want you to try at least some of the things I am going to suggest you below..

Ok so here are the unconventional ways to become the best version of yourself.

1. Push yourself harder every day.

The limits of the possible can only be defined by going beyond them into the impossible. – Arthur C. Clarke.

In today’s competitive world if you want to grow you need to push harder from anyone else around you. Don’t wait for anyone else to join you or to push you out of your comfort zone. It’s your inner battle and only you can fight it. IT’s you vs you.

Achieving your best self is a process, not a one-day game show. You need to be consistent to meet your goals.

See how much hard work successful people put to meet their goals. They fail enormous times but didn’t stop.

I don’t want to listen to your excuses. If you want to lose weight go run and hit the gym, if you want to crack the exam go study if you want to be a successful blogger write ever freakin day; reach to your readers, solve their problems, built valuable content. Don’t stop midway. If you lack the motivation read some quotes or watch videos just don’t stop.

2. Learn new things daily.

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

Knowledge is the biggest asset we can have today. With the knowledge, you can do anything you want even you can earn by just sitting at home. Learning is a continuous process till death. There is so much to learn and today’s tech made learning easy. You can learn anything just on your mobile or laptop without going anywhere, So make learning new things every day a habit.

Read as many books or ebooks as you can. Follow the blogs you love to read. Follow only those pages on social media which will offer you the value you are looking for. Don’t waste your time on useless crap. Try to be productive.

learn something new everyday

3. Believe in yourself.

“The only person who can pull me down is myself, and I’m not going to let myself pull me down anymore.”
― C. JoyBell C.

I didn’t pursue the career I always wanted because I wasn’t sailing my life’s ship.I didn’t stick to habits because I didn’t really believe I had the discipline. I was shy with girls, I had a hard time making new friends and more often I didn’t put myself out of my comfort zone.

Believe me these 4 words “I Believe In Myself” can change everything. Now I am starting my life from zero doing what my soul aches for. I can honestly say I believe in myself like never before. That doesn’t mean I’ll never fail or quit: I will. Probably often.

And that’s OK.

The main point is If you believe in yourself you will never stop no matter how many time you fail, you will never stop hustling and grinding till you meet the ultimate goal you set on yourself.

Just believe in yourself, your ideas, your vision, your values. It’s just a matter of time that you will become the person you most admire.

“You may be the only person left who believes in you, but it’s enough. It takes just one star to pierce a universe of darkness. Never give up.” ― Richelle E. Goodrich

4.  Maximize your 24 hours.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour.

Time is the most valuable asset we have. Each one of us has only 24 hours a day not even a single second more than that. Time is not going to wait for you to poop on your vision. Master the time craft and you will master the world.

5.  Surround yourself with multipliers.

There is a saying that “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are.”

Also, I have read somewhere that “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

Now that’s an interesting thought surrounding yourself with friends who share common goals, who supports you, motivates you, believes in your vision, help you transform and so more.

But that’s somehow not in our hands, building a community is the toughest task.

I think that maybe we are unable to find our support system but we can become someone else’s support system offer them the values, vision and enough motivation to turn that vision into reality. That’s my thought though let’s see what you think about it.

This 5th step is in controversy in my mind. Do offer your views on this.

6. Find a role model.

“Find someone who has a life that you want and figure out how they got it. Read books, pick your role models wisely. Find out what they did and do it.”
— Lana Del Rey

Having a role model is going to be helpful to achieve what you want. Most of the times we don’t need to look outside of our family to have a role model. Maybe your dad, mother, brother or your cousin have done a ton of hard work to reach where they are today. If not you can find them outside, can look on the internet for inspirational stories and much more.

I have read somewhere

“Shaping our character is one of the most important things that we can do in life. It’s hard, but it’s not complicated. We become what we do if we do it often enough. We act with courage, and we become courageous. We act with compassion, and we become compassionate. If we make resilient choices, we become resilient. To do this really well requires that we have good models. You need a model in your life at any age.”

7. Have a big vision and keep your goals aligned with your vision.

“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.” – Japanese Proverb

I struggled with this one for a while. First, I had no big vision. In fact, I didn’t even know what that meant. So my goals and actions went in circles for a while.
Make sure to know what kind of person you want to be and what kind of job/life you would like to lead. Then shape your short-term goals so it is moving you in that direction (or at least not away from it).

if you can imagine it you can achieve it

8. Start before you’re ready.

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” — Chinese Proverb

As I told earlier you’re never gonna be ready. Most people wait. They believe they can start after they have enough time, money, connections and credentials. They wait until they feel “secure.” Don’t wait act. That’s the only thing that matters.

9. Launch a personal website or bring a journal with you.

“Keep a notebook. Travel with it, eat with it, sleep with it. Slap into it every stray thought that flutters up into your brain. Cheap paper is less perishable than gray matter. And lead pencil markings endure longer than memory.”

Today I found my old college notebook and I was astonished by reading some of my own thoughts in the last few pages. Then it strikes me that why don’t I have my journal to keep up with my thoughts and to write my beautiful memories.

If you start writing down your goals, visions and set down priorities to it the chance of completion of that goals increases by 70%.

Also, you can launch your own personal website to have more perks of providing your thoughts and your thinkings to others. This can bring value to both you and your readers.

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”

Do something today that your future self will thank you for
